PLEASE NOTE: The below curriculum is provided for reference only, pending final approval from the relevant study board at each university. Updated November 2022.

The specialization in Environmental Impacts is offered by UCPH and UHOH (only ASP-2).  If you choose to specialize in Environmental Impacts there are two possible ways to combine the Basic Semester Package (BSP) and the Advanced Semester Packages (ASPs) in your Master Programme:

Option 1:  UCPH as Home university and UHOH as Host university

1. Semester: BSP at UCPH
2. Semester: ASP-1 at UCPH
3. Semester: ASP-2 at UHOH
4. Semester: Masters Thesis at UHOH 

or

Option 2: UHOH as Home university and UCPH as Host university

1. Semester: BSP at UHOH
2. Semester: ASP-1 at UHOH (any of ASP-1 that are offered, e.g. Environmental Management, Soil Resources and Land Use, Ecosystems and Biodiversity)
3. Semester: ASP-2 at UCPH
4. Semester: Masters Thesis at UCPH

  • Land Use and Environmental Modelling (7.5 ECTS) A
  • Environment and human health risk assessment of chemicals (7.5 ECTS) A
  • Environmental Impact Assessment (7.5 ECTS) C

  • One free elective course (7.5 ECTS) in Block 3 OR 4
  • Natural resource sampling and modelling (7.5 ECTS) B
  • Plant ecophysiology in a changing climate (7.5 ECTS) C

NOTE: Highlighted course is compulsory study activity, while the rest are restricted elective study activities

NOTE: 22.5ECTS have to be covered from above compulsory + restricted elective courses. Besides this, one 7.5 ECTS course is free elective (but can also be from the list above). All subject elements at MSc level may be included as elective subject elements.

ASP-2 at UHOH: Methods for Environmental Impacts

30 ECTS

Semester 3

(winter)

  • Chemistry of the Earth System and Pollution (6 ECTS)
  • Global Change Issues (6 ECTS)
  • Ecology and Agroecosystems (6 ECTS)
  • Agricultural Production and Residues (6 ECTS)
  • Waste Management and Waste Techniques (6 ECTS)

ASP2 consists of unblocked modules - these are running throughout the entire lecture period.

NOTE: Courses listed above are semi-elective. Students have to select four of the semi-elective modules plus one elective module. The elective module may be freely chosen from the module catalogue of all master courses of the Faculty of Agricultural Science and the Faculty of Natural Science.
